High availabily with SAN copies

Asked by sunitdhake in Oracle 10.x, Storage Technology

Hi Experts,

We are in a migration phase. we want to design it like
we have two data centers and two databases with two SAN.
for high availability the oragnisation does not want to use DR as well as RAC.
they want to use SAN copies and it will be like mentioned as follows:
There are two db servers DB1 and DB2 and two SAN SAN1 and SAN2
primarily it will be on dba1 and all files are on san1 and datacenter 2 has replica.
if db1 is down then db2 should point to SAN1 and if SAN1 is down DB1 should point to SAN2.
Everything will be done manually.

Is it possible. Please suggest.

Thanks in advance.
