configuring OEM DB console with a read only account

Asked by vamsi_uk in Oracle 10.x, Oracle Database

Hello Experts,

I need to configure OEM 10g DB console and then create a read only account to access the OEM console. I have tested on my test database server where i created a new database without any Enterprise Manager console option and then manually configured using "emca -config dbcontrol db" command. it then asked me for sys and sysman password and in the end i was able to successfully configure it on my test database.

On my production server (10.1.0.5) standard edition, I do not see SYSMAN account in the first place. I am now confused how i can configure OEM DB console without supplying SYSMAN password because it does not exist in the databsae. Also, I am not sure if I can have a read only account for OEM DB console.

Can you please help me out with this issue?
