Question

How to connect Crystal report to Oracle DB

Asked by: Skaugen

I am very new to the Oracle and now trying to connect Oracle DB from Crystal report.

Some suggest use JDBC, some Suggest use ODBC, which one is better and

I tried ODBC and always get error ORA-12504: TNS:listener was not given the SERVICE_NAME in CONNECT_DATA.

I am lost in JDBC setup.

Can someone provide easy follow steps to make this work? All I need is connect Crystal report to Oracle DB, like Crystal Report works from SQL Server.
