Browse All TopicsAfter i have installed Oracle in Vista 32-bit. I kept getting an error message Bug #6596234.
A Window appeared with this message:
This problem was caused by Oracle Enterprise Manager, which was created by Oracle Corporation.

1. What should i do?
2. I opened SQL*Plus and types username as "system", password as "manager". I get this message:
Enter user-name: system
Enter password:
ERROR:
ORA-28000: the account is locked

1. Looks like this is a common problem on Vista 32-bit running Oracle 11.1.0.6.0. See the following thread:

2. The system account is locked (wrong password entered, or somebody explicitly locked it). To resolve, connect using SQL*Plus:
SQLPLUS /@database as sysdba
then issue:
ALTER USER SYSTEM ACCOUNT UNLOCK;

I keep getting annoying window that says nmefwmi.exe...
