How do I view an Oracle Profile?  I want to check the password grace time on a user generated profile.

Hi Dawnfmnj,

Use the query:

SELECT PROFILE, RESOURCE_NAME,RESOURCE_TYPE, LIMIT FROM DBA_PROFILES WHERE PROFILE= ‘&profile_name’ AND      RESOURCE_TYPE LIKE ‘%PASSWORD%’;

(remember you need to have access to this table)

To view the Oracle profile, you have to query DBA_PROFILES view.

Ex: to view password grace time for a profile, use the following query

select resource_name, limit
from   dba_profiles
where  resource_name = 'PASSWORD_GRACE_TIME';
