Oracle spooling with separator

Please review this code.

I need the o/p in a csv file,How can i achieve it.

(note:The table have some blank values for few columns)

you need to list your column names and separate them with a double pipe symbol : || and text separators


set feedback off
set trimspool on
set linesize 400
set pagesize 500
set heading on
spool c:\test\tab.text
select columnA || ',' || columnB || ',' || columnC || ',' || columnD from table;
spool off

Cant we do it like
spool c:\test\tab.csv???

that just says what file you put the text into

you could just as well put
spool c:\test\test.exe

it will still be a text file

you can do this by setting a colsep value like:
    set colsep ',' ;
