ORACLE - plsql question

With oracle DB, in plsql I have a cursor C1 which explodes a tree as below

assembly1
  component1
  sub_assembly1
     component2
     sub_assembly2


I have  the fetched data as below


for rec1 in C1 loop

rec1.item       rec1.parent
----------      -----------
assembly1       assembly1
component1      assembly1
sub_assembly1   assembly1
component2      sub_assembly1
sub_assembly2   sub_assembly1

end loop


The need is to do a htp.print as below using the above data inside the loop.

<li>assembly1
   <ul>
   <li>component1</li>
   <li>sub_assembly1
      <ul>
      <li>component2</li>
      <li>sub_assembly2</li>
      </ul>
   </li>
</ul>
</li>
