Need help in loading data from XML to Oracle table

Hi,
Today I am asked to load data from an XML document into a data base table using a PL/SQL program. I don't know even the basics of XML to start with but the requirement is urgent.
I request you guys to help me in doing this task. The data(attached xml file) that needs to be converted and loaded into the table structure given below. The create table statement into which the data is to be loaded is as follows:
CREATE TABLE CDM_DATA
(CDM_CLASS_NM varchar2(100),
COD_TBL_NM varchar2(50),
CDM_ATTR_NM varchar2(100),
COD_COL_NM varchar2(50),
CDM_REF_NM varchar2(100),
COD_REF_COL_NM varchar2(50),
LOAD_DT DATE
);

I am also attaching it as code snippet.

It would be very helpful if you can accomplish this task for me and aslo provide comments where ever necessary so that I can know what is exactly happening in the code so that from this time I can write the program for myself.
