isnull inside select query

Hi

i want to select an item inside the select like in SQL
but i have to do it in PL/SQL.

select isnull(test,'')

how do i do it in pl/sql?

You can use ISNULL in pl/sql blocks too.
What's the problem with ISNULL function inside a pl/sql block..

what i try to do is:
SELECT
isnull(PAU.UNIT_NAME C000_C_ELEMENTO_UNIT,'') UNIT_NAME C000_C_ELEMENTO_UNIT

and the query not running.

or use NVL

declare  
  X VARCHAR2(10);
begin
  select NVL(a, '10') INTO X FROM table WHERE ID = 1;
  DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE(a);
end;

in oracle you must allways select from a table

if no table, use dual

SELECT
isnull(PAU.UNIT_NAME C000_C_ELEMENTO_UNIT,'') UNIT_NAME C000_C_ELEMENTO_UNIT from dual
