oracle query to select last transaction on a day

How do I select from the below the last transaction on a specific day?

I have this query :
select 
t$item as item,
t$trdt as datum,
t$kost as tipe,
t$qstk as movement,
t$qhnd as onhand
from twhinr110099 
where
t$item = '         10-00079'
and
t$trdt > '31-Aug-2009'
and
t$cwar = 'FG10'
order by t$trdt;
 
 
that gives this output:

sorry you have to sort desc

so use this

ok that worked for when selecting one item. When I run this for all items, I only get the item that had the last transaction... How would i do this for all items? like

are you using oracle 8/9/10?

you can sue this
