i have an view owned by sys.
when i try to give execute privileges on this view to an user.it gives an error
ora-04063 view has errors.
i tried to recompile the view and than it gives the following errors
Line # = 0 Column # = 0 Error Text = ORA-00904: "BP_SETS_PER_PG": invalid identifier
bp_sets_per_pg is an column of the view.
how do i correct the error.

this is the results and i can't recompile these three views.
at this point i would probably reinstall the db catalog; but that's me. if you do this make sure you back up your data.

the problem could be a reference in the view`s defining query to a non-existent table. Can also be a table which has references to non-existent or inaccessible types.
run the script $ORACLE_BASE/product/9.2.0
it will recompile all existing invalid PL/SQL modules in a database.
