Oracle 9i -- End Of Life

Hi All,

My server has been installed with Oracle 9i.

In order to extend the life of this server for further 5 years, do I need to consider upgrade this database to a new version (e.g. Oracle 11i).

When will Oracle 9i end of life or not support by Oracle anymore?

Please advise.

Oracle 11i? Is it Apps or Database server?
In Database, latest is 10g , 10.2.0.x is the latest.
Oracle has released terminal version of Oracle 9i, 9.2.0.7. So, there will be no more releases on 9i.
Please refer to metalink for support end date of 9i.

9.2.0.8 is the terminal release of 9i version of oracle.

And 9i will be desupported Jul 2007. Thats the date when premier support ends. Meaning no bug fixes after that. But you have an option to buy extended support. And that goes till Jul 2010.

The curent version is 10g R2 (10.2.0.2). And premier support for 10g R2 support will last till Jul 2010. You will be covered.
