You can create a button (in another control block):
Mouse navigate property=No
and in it's When-Button-Pressed trigger you can
1) call another form (by using CALL_FORM built-in and passing value of the first field to it as a parameter and execute query with this parameter there)
or
2) block for updating record - here you can also execute query with first field value.
