Hello Gurus,
I need to update three oracle EBS GL tables - GL_JE_BATCHES, GL_JE_HEADERS and GL_JR_LINES. Does anyone have any experience upating these tables? Any general recommendaitons are welcome! The key on the BATCHES table = BATCH_ID which also exists in the HEADERs table. The HEADER_ID also exists in the LINES table.

Thanks for your reply. I am not updating the EBS tables directly so no worries. The system I have inherited has mimiced those tables for supporting some BI application. I need to update them in an outside schema - no direct interfacing with EBS. Any recommendations on which table to update first etc would be helpful.

I am not an expert on the EBS tables. Yes, we now have an EBS system here, but most of my Oracle experience has been on custom or other purchased (but not EBS) applications. From what I have seen of most EBS tables, they don't usually include foreign keys declared in the database, so if your tables arelike that, you could do the updates in any order you like - it won't matter.

Usually, direct SQL updates of EBS tables is not supported by Oracle. You should normally open a Service Request with Oracle to discuss data and/or program problems in EBS. If a data fix needs to be made, you are safest if this comes from Oracle Support.
