Browse All Topicswhen I query a table that has timestamp in field I am selecting I get the following value:
26-OCT-09 07.36.03.191683 PM
All I want is the date. Is there a display option that would enable me to only get the date? I do not wish to modify the field data type. I tried using the following statement:
column DB_INSERTED format a10
But the output looks like:
DB_INSERTE
----------
26-OCT-09
07.36.13.2
65121 PM

to_char(db_inserted,'dd-mo n-yyyy')
or, less reliable...
trunc(db_inserted)
and let the default formatting show it for you.
