export and import

I have Oracle 7.3.4 on solaris.
I have one database name TEST and I did an
export via:
exp system/manager file=export_filename.dmp full=y log=log_filename.log

I then create another database call TST with difference
system, redo log size and import
the TEST DB via:
imp system/manager file=export_filename.dmp full=y log=log_filename.log

I was able to see the table from TEST but I did not
see the rows (content of the tables).

Did I need to do anything more?

Were there any errors in the export and import log files.

when you import did it show you how much row  import and the same for export

run imp without parameters and answer all questions manually
e.g. : Import grants (Y/N)
Import entire export file (Y/N)

and adapt your complete imp command according your answers.

You may need to re-run export with "Rows=Y".  I thought that was the default, but maybe it isn't for the version you have.

Have you looked your log_filename.log for errors?

While exporting you have to give ROWS=Y OPTION AND RETRY AGAIN. U CAN TRY THIS FOR SMALL TABLE AND THEN TEST THE DATA AFTER IMPORTING FROM THAT TABLE.

you should also use  "exp73 -parfile=..." syntax of usage exp73. there is option which enables export data, and option which enables import data. see oracle manual exp73. that works.
