Hi
   Does anyone have the algorithm and source code or either one of them to perform cyclic redundany checking?
(CRC-16)

Hi,
For java -- lha  Class CRC16  (part of java.lang.Object) is listed as Deprecated..


However,  the following link lists how to do it yourself,  and several other methods:
http://www.mcmanis.com/~cmcmanis/java/encoders/index.html

don't have a good example of coding this in plsql -- but you might be able to code something up...

Hi
  I was wondering if i could have the whole source code in java to calculate the CRC-16 result for the following:

CRC -16 generating polynomial: X16 + X15 + X2 + 1
Namely the binary value: 11000000000000101
The CRC is initialised with the value of zero. The final CRC value is XORed with zero.
