Error 6 initializing SQL*Plus
Message file sp1<Lang>.msb not found
SP2-0750: You may need to set ORACLE_HOME to your Oracle software directory

i got this error when running sqlplus.. does anyone have any idea on how i can fix this? im running REDHAT linux

Maybe you need to set the ORACLE_HOME environment variable?  Maybe that's it...

1) Set your ORACLE_HOME variable
  (make sure you export the variable if you use sh or ksh)

2) Set the path to PATH=$PATH:$ORACLE_HOME/bin

It should work now

3) Sanity check the directory $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/mesg
   to see if you see the message file -- if it's
   not there then you have installation issue.
