Sounds odd, but Oracle replication is using Oracle Streaming mechanism.
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsI am using an oracle 9i database standard edition. I will be implementing a second 9i database Enterprise edition. I would like to replicate data from the enterprise to the standard edition. Do I need enterprise on both databases? Is there a benefit to using Oracle Streams vs Replication? What other option would I have? Any help would be appreciated.

I think that for Replication you need Enterprise edition. We encountered e.g. that Data Guard(Standby DB) doesn't work on Standard edition.
