Browse All TopicsHi,
Is there is anyway to call a Unix Script from Oracle Stored Procedure. I have a VB App which calls a Stored procedure and that Stored Procedure generates Text file on our AIX Unix box using UTL package. Now, I have a Unix script which ftps' this text file and calls an AS400 CL program using RMT Command.
Right now, User generates Text file using VB interface and calls me to run Unix script. I would like to automate this process. Basically, I want to call the Unix Script from Oracle Stored Procedure, so that I can include necessary calls in my stored procedure which generates text file.
I do not know any Java programming?
Any suggestions/ideas.
Thanks
