sql script to compare two tables and insert diff into a new table

hi experts,

   i am new to oracle. my requirement is to compare two tables of similar structure and to insert the difference into a new table of similar structure.

  i have two table PARALIST and PARALIST_OLD of structure

PARA_DESC                                          VARCHAR2(200)

my new table paralsit_diff is also of similar structure.i need to write a script tht will insert into the new table  the diference between two two parent tables. PARA_ALAIS AND COMPONENT are same in both the table only the para_value changes between the two table.

Also as a second task i have to create a table of structure
SQL> desc history;
 Name                                      Null?    Typ
 ----------------------------------------- -------- ------------------
 SDATE                                              DATE
 SERVER                                             VARCHAR2(100)
 COMPONENT                                          VARCHAR2(200)
 PARAMETER                                          VARCHAR2(200)
 OLD_VALUE                                          VARCHAR2(100)
 NEW_VALUE                                          VARCHAR2(100)

    and need to insert the old value from tab1 and new value from tab2 to this table.

   Experts can u guide me in accomplishing this task.
