The Solution Rating System

Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. What should I use to connect to an Oracle 10g R1 (10.1.0.3) instance on Linux x86 from the workstation/PC client

We are currently using Oracle Names Server with Oracle 9i (9.2.0.5) oracle instances. We realize the Oracle Names Server is obsolete at 10g. We will be migrating to OID (Oracle Internet Directory) in the future. I have an Oracle 10g R1 (10.1.0.3) Oracle instance created on a Linux x86. What tool is recommended on the workstation/PC to connect to and allow the users to query the 10g Oracle instance on Linux x86?  

I have added a tnsnames.ora on my workstation/PC and populated with the 10g Oracle instances. I can connect to the OEM(Oracle Enterprise Manager) Console as sys using the sysdba preference - to do DBA type functions but I need give certain users a method to query the remote 10g database.
