pl/sql doubt (urgent)

i have a table and i have some fields and now i need to check certain condition for
the exisiting fields and take that result and extract it along with
the data from the table ...
for eg (in the below code) the result of the if condition is stored in the 'var_ouput' variable and
now i need to extract the data from the
table sample_results with the var-output variable (for all the columns) and i did some coding
and it doesn't work ...can anyone help me with that ....

or if anyother idea is there to do this plz tell me ...
