Hi mohammadzahid,

Using SQL Plus :
SQL>connect  / as sysdba;

After that try shutting down the database as follows
SQL> shutdown abort

Next we gonna startup the database by pointing to the correct pfile.
SQL>create spfile from pfile=<location><initSID.ora>
SQL<>startup

Cheers
Nickson

C:> oradim -SHUTDOWN <oracle sid> -SHUTMODE immediate
C:>
C:>
C:>oradim -STARTUP <oracle sid> STARTTYPE srvc,inst

Hi,

1.- Open DOS command prompt and type:

oradim -edit -sid <oracle_sid> -startmode m

2.- reboot

3.- Open DOS command prompt:

oradim -startup <oracle_sid> starttype srvc
or start de service from Control Panel

4.- From DOS command prompt
sqlplus /nolog
conn / as sysdba
connected to an idle instance
startup pfile=<your init.ora>

If the database starts, then you can recreate the service using oradim, if not, you can see the error in alert.log.

Cheers
