I ran catalog.sql and catproc.sql before importing anything... so that can't be it right?
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsSo I'm an oracle noob. A few months ago I was successful in setting up an oracle database but I'm trying to create a new database now, and no matter what I try, I can't get it to work...
So I create a database, run the metadata scripts, and use imp to import a provided file (that has worked in the past) into my empty database. All that seems to work fine except that a few procedures that are added to the database won't compile... It says it cannot find v$session...
Any help with this would be great.
Thanks,
Tom

Run the catalog.sql before you compile your procedures.
catalog.sql -- Builds all your data dictionary. it should be under your rdbms folder
