How can I create a tem table to insert data in oracle?

In SQL server, you can do like :

select *
into #temp1
from tableA

Create table newtable as select * from tableA

In oracle there is a global temporary table type so you could do

create global temporary table newtable as select * from tableA

In oracle you can create "global temporary table" as a schema object. It is just just a normal table except that the data data stored will persists either for the current transaction or session. Insert into this table using normal insert statement.

SQL> create global temporary table temp1;

This will create a table temp1 with the same structure ( i mean with same columns, data types and records too ).

create table temp1 as select * from tableA;

If you dont want records then you can some false condition like

create table temp1 as select * from tableA where 1 = 2;

If creating a true temporary table, you may want to include the keywords ON COMMIT PRESERVE ROWS if you want the table to be session specific (i.e. for use throughout a session), otherwise, it will default to transaction specific.

create global temporary table temp1 on commit preserve rows as select * from tableA;

How do you create a temporary table with it's own datatypes,
as opposed to creating a temp table based on an existing table?

create global temporary table yourtemptable
(col1 datatype
,col2 datatype
...)
on commit perserve rows;

You can then populate using
insert into yourtemptable values(...)
or
insert into yourtemptable
select ...
from anothertable;
