Great info: I'm having the DBA check to see if the qcuser was assigned to the dba group on the OS level.

I've set the init.ora parameter 'remote_login_passwordfile
I've created a user, i.e., create user qcuser....
I've granted sysdba to that user and queried v$pwfile_users show user as sysdba.
However, when I connect qcuser as sysdba I receive the ORA-1031 Insufficient Privileges error.
Did I miss a step?
