ORA-12546: TNS: Permission Denied

Asked by marksmithy69 in Oracle Database, Oracle 10.x

Hello everyone.  I am running into problems running sqlplus from my DOS window in Windows XP.  

If I open a DOS window and try to run sqlplus from the command line, I get " ORA-12546: TNS: Permission Denied".  If I do a sqlplusw from the command line, it connects to the database with no problem.  TNSPING from the command line works as well.  Does anyone have any ideas?  Thanks.Start Free Trial
