how to get menu item name in forms 6i

HI..

I have created a Menu in forms 6i,

I want to get Menu Item Name When i pressed any menu item in runtime..

e.g, i have a menu items like,
MENU1
ITEM1
ITEM2
ITEM3

when i pressed ITEM1 then it should display ' MENU1.ITEM1 ',

how can i get this..?

I think that you can try this:
On form create a USER-NAME trigger - e.g. 'display_menu_item_name' and put there something like this:
DEFAULT_VALUE('undefined','global.menu_item_name');
message(:global.menu_item_name);

On menu add to each menu item such code:
:global.menu_item_name:='MENU1.ITEM1'; -- ... (MENU1.ITEM2) etc.
execute_trigger('display_menu_item_name');

I am expecting a system variable name that will give the menu name and menu item. Is it any system variable to identify this, example if I want to know the current item in the form we can user :system.cursor_item

There is no such system menu in forms there.You must use workaround - something like I have written in my answer.
