I think you are asking if DB without problems:
if so use:
RMAN Validation
The main purpose of RMAN validation is to check for corrupt blocks and missing files. You can also use RMAN to determine whether backups can be restored. You can use the following RMAN commands to perform validation:

"VALIDATE

"BACKUP ... VALIDATE

"RESTORE ... VALIDATE


when you use rman with validate you do not really do a restore or backup but just check that the DB can do that;

1. Always use logfile and examine this log for errors:
rman TARGET / NOCATALOG LOG = $ORACLE_HOME/dbs/log/msglog.f APPEND

2. The best way to make sure that backup is ok, is to restore it to test environment.
