How to log who deletes the logs in ORACLE database 10.2 g

We have new policy in our company, we need to know whenever any one delete the ORACLE database logs and record the operation. So we know by who & when the logs were deleted.

AUDIT DELETE ON your_schema.your_log_table;

and set the   audit_trail  init parameter to DB



then check dba_audit_trail

My understanding is that the Asker is speaking about OS files.

This case is discussed here for Windows here:

My colleagues said me that this is possible also for Unix.

But the main question lies not in such tecniques.
The main question is that your system experience lack of security if
somebody can delete files in Oracle Data Base and possibly in Oracle Home.
This is a very dangerous situation and i will suggest to evaluate and change
the security policy on OS and DB level.

Agree with schwertner. Also, if you setup a scheduled operation (like UNIX cron) or RMAN job to delete logs, you always know who (the script) and admins or DBAs should not have to. If you don't know who is doing things at the OS level, you have bigger problems: too many people with privileged access. On UNIX implement sudo and do not share the root password.

if you rae asking about an app/schmea logs then it is as sdstuber; has mentioned;

if you mean the archive logs;then these can not be monitoed from the DB you have to set something up on the OS
