alternatively, you can create a constraint on your table that only allows city_id like 'LON%' and then import with ignore=Y
all of your non-LON cities will generate a constraint violation and be skipped

I've an Oracle dmp (myfile.dmp) and I'd like to import only a subset of the table CITY.
I'd like to load only this data:
select *
from city
where city_id like 'LON%'
How can I import this substet with import utility?

you cannot.
you have to load the entire table (you could load it into a different schema), and then copy from there with the SELECT you need.
