I took archive of ORACLE_HOME and I wanted to restore ORACLE_HOME .<br />
Here is what I have done<br />

tar -cvf /test/orabakup.tar $ORACLE_HOME<br />
should the restoration is<br />
<br />
cd /test - where the tar file is located<br />
tar -xvf /test/orabakup.tar $ORACLE_HOME<br />
<br />
Just chance c to x .. Please confirm<br />
