Basically...I'm a noob.<br />
I am only able to download the Oracle database software successfully.<br />
I have failed at installing the software, even after I RT<b>F</b>M. &nbsp;I've tried to deinstall the software, but when I reinstall, the database homes are still there, even if I manually delete the folders and remove as many registry entries as possible. &nbsp;<br />

I'm making a bigger mess than needed. &nbsp;All I want to do is learn SQL Developer and I need an Oracle database. &nbsp;I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and I'm trying to install and configure Oracle 11g 11.2.0.<br />

Once I'm able to deinstall everything properly. &nbsp;I need to know if there's a specific order when installing the database. &nbsp;<br />
<br />
Some of the error I would get are:<br />
1.) Environment Variable Path is too long &nbsp;Path length is 1420, but the max is 1023. &nbsp;The oracle path is not 397 characters long.<br />
<br />
2.) OTS or OMTS Recovery Service failed to start.<br />
<br />
3.) &nbsp;Net Configuration Assistant failed.
