Check the possible resolutions for that error:

Are you doing any remote connections maybe through a DBLink?

It is on a Windows 2008 Server , 32-bit. No connections through DBLink.

also foun this in the windows event viewer, if it has any relevance...i belive this one is from the application connecting to the database...
Faulting application TreksStacker.exe, version 13.1.3, time stamp 0x4d9d7abf, faulting module oracore11.dll, version 11.2.0.1, time stamp 0x4b71e95f, exception code 0xc00000fd, fault offset 0x00092367, process id 0x918, application start time 0x01cce7823437050c.

you are right, it looks like this error is happening , after the app crashes, that being the first error...
from the link you provided , i read that the TNS-12637 could be caused due to "The other process was terminated", so i am guessing the app crashing is the issue?

That would be my guess.
You just need to track dates/times the app crashes and see if the dates/times in the alert log are about the same.

yes they are, the errors in the log are immediately or at the same time of the app crash.
Then what is left to answer? Looks like the error in the alert log is caused by the app crashing. As long as the app crashing is OK then the error in the alert log is OK.
ASKER
the app crashing needs to be resolved, i guess that is an whole differenet issue.
I just wanted to make sure the error in the Oracle alter log is not causing the app to crash, instead it is caused by the app crash, correct?

That is my professional opinion. Oracle is just reporting that something bad happned and is not the cause.
Can I ask what additional information I could have provided to get an 'A' grade from you?
Did you just close this out to bypass the new question lock?

i think for windows7, the oracle database version which you had installed is 64-bit..
what is the version of windows?
by the errors it is visible that database is 11g, which software have you installed(database edtion 32bit/64bit?
