What oracle versions are supported for monitoring using Grid Control Application
Hi,
I will like to know what Oracle version are able to be manage and monitored using the Grid Control 11g / 12c application.
There are some Oracle 8/8i databases that need to be managed using those tools, and i want to find some documentation that says which version are supported.

A couple of things:
1) I would not call OEM an application since it is a monitoring framework. I have monitored Oracle version 10, 11 and 12. Be aware, that the availability of information will vary depending on the version you are monitoring.

When talking about "Applications", People are referring to applications like EBS, JD Edwards, or 100 of business applications that they have bought or developed.
Looking at Oracle product page they clearly segment Applications and Enterprise Management in two different categories.

Looking at Oracle product page...So in other words: if Oracle defines "applications" to be like "bla bla whatsoever A" and 2+2=5 then it has to be the truth?!

Apart from the fine links posted by Alexander, go and access the Enterprise Manager certification matrix, (follow these steps):
On the Certifications page, in the Certification Search region, from the Product list, select one of the following:
From the Release list, select 12.1.0.4.0, and click Search.
Log in to My Oracle Support.
Click the Certifications tab.
On the Certifications page, in the Certification Search region, from the Product list, select one of the following:
Enterprise Manager Base Platform - OMS, to view the certification for OMS.
Enterprise Manager Base Platform - Agent, to view the certification for Management Agent.
From the Release list, select 12.1.0.4.0, and click Search.

At the end i was no able to monitor the Windows 2000 Server and the Oracle 8i version with Grid 11g. That windows version and that database version are not supported.
