Yes u right. Instead of having the running total in group header, it works excellent when placed in group footer.

Browse All Topicsi'm using crystal reports XI. In my report, i've following
sku Total Units
Grouped by(sku) 123456 100
If i drill down the sku,i'll see following:
(Grouped by sku) sku
(Grouped by location) location Units
123456
101 80
102 20
i'm mean my Total Units should be the sum of units for that sku. I used running total, in which i'd evaluted on change of group -> Location and also reset on change of group -> sku.
But i dont get the right total for the Total Units. I tried changing groups many times in running total but still wont get right total units.

A running total for a group is correct in tthe group footer. If you want the total in the group header you can use the SUMMARY functions.
In the detail section right click the UNIT field.
Click INSERT SUMMARY
Set the grouping to the SKU group
You can drag the summary field to the group header you want it in.
