Hello,
I was interested if anyone is aware of online tutorials on how to use Business Objects including WebIntelligence, Crystal Reports, Excelsius etc - i.e. the different suite of components. I know there are some good tutorials on most applications but have not found any relating to Business Objects.
I would appreciate URLs. I don't have time to attend full time courses and was hoping that an independent company had set up some tutorials as Business Objects themselves tend to be quite restrictive about allowing anything published etc without their direct permission.

Thanks guys, I was hoping there would be something more comprehensive out there but kind of suspsected this was the case. I attended a training session by Blueprint Management Systems as part of my previous role (they are one of the only approved training providers licensed to run courses for Business Objects). They also mentioned that this was the case. There is one book on Business Objects Version 6 from recollection but this was mainly deailng with full client. I am not aware of any books updated on XI.
Quite surprised how Business Objects can claim to copyright to this degree that no-one can even run a training course or right a book on their product. Seems entirely self-defeating as their revenue from sales must surely exceed that of training. Even Microsoft hasn't got to these lengths - very disappointing.

if you are looking for a book, this could be one to learn web i and universe and I know another author who has authored no of books on BO Products. I'll let you know tommorrow. But none of them are online. You can actually buy them used very cheap

I am unaware of any. Crystal has become extremely protective of their training and has just about made what you want an impossible task unless you go through them.

He has a blog that details some of the issues with Crystal training. Crystal tried to make it a copyright violation to use screen shots in non-Crystal developed course materials.
