you can use that in a formula. just select the table in your database connection, then create a new formula and use the following script.
SELECT CASE Status
WHEN "Exclusion" THEN 2
WHEN "WATCH" THEN 1
place the formula in the details section with your other information and it should print out with 2s and 1s

its fine if the report is already created. do the following:
>click "Insert" on the menu
>select "Field Object"
>right click "Formula Fields:"
>select "New"
>past in the case statement I wrote above.
>click "Save and Close" button
>expand "Formula Fields" in the "Field Explorer" (same box that poped up when you select "Field Object"
>click the formula you just created, drag onto your report and drop

Put it into a Stored Procedure and call the Stored Procedure from Crystal.
