The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Explain Scheduled Reports - help setting up a sheduled report.

I have some reports which I would like to schedule if possible.  I am running CR 8.5 and I believe we have CR 9 in one dept./Oracle 8i/ColdFusion MX 7.

I have a report which calculates sales, unmet leads, met leads, orders, goal, cumulative % of goal met by month for 13 months.

The user picks a region, county, type of product, starting with a month.
There are 12 regions, up to 10 counties in each region, 8 product types,
The report tracks lifecycle of goals met for 13 months.

Can I schedule this report to run nightly?
Can I limit the data displayed on the report by parameters passed when the user accesses the report.

Example...
John is in the SW Region and should only view SW data,
he wants the SW Region, all counties, all products starting jan 2001.

Sally is in the NW Region and should only view NW data,
he wants the NW Region, all counties, all products starting june 2002.

Eric is in HQ and wants the NC Region and has the ability to view all data,
he wants NC Region, all counties, all products, starting Oct 2003.

Can I create one report to do this?
If not then can I create 12 sheduled reports, one for each region, and still allow the user to pick a date range starting?
This report does not aggregate on all 12 regions.Start Free Trial
