Will they all be YMMDD with the year being in 200x?
Try the
Date (Left({YourField},1), Mid({YourField},2,2), Right({YourField},2)
Put that on the report and format it as you want
To do it directly as a string
Mid({YourField},2,2) & "/" & Right({YourField},2) & "/0" & Left({YourField},1)
