I agree. Also if you have the full CR10 you should install it and use the components that came with it rather than the VS version of Crystal.

I want to start using Visual Studio 2008, the .Net Framework 3.5 but I want to continue using the Crystal.Net 10.2 that came with Visual Studio 2005, can I do this by simply including a reference to the old objects, is it that easy or will Visual Studio 2008 replace the current version.
The reason I want to continue using 10.2 is because we have full blown Crystal version 10 packeges we use to develop reports and I want the report engine to match the version we're developing reports in.

Based on the beta 2 version of VS2008 professional, the installation didn't overwrite my existing components so I *think* you will be fine. I hesitate to say for certain because its always possible something will change in the release version but I'd say it is unlikely.
It was (is) possible to use the older VS2003 components with VS2005 so I would expect that will hold true with VS2008 as well. Most people will want to use the new components but you'll still need the older ones for maintaining existing solutions -- it would be counterproductive to get rid of that IMHO.
