Browse All TopicsWe've developed a c#Winforms application that uses CrystalReports. The application stores all of its displayed strings in an Oracle 10 db (as nvarchar), thereby allowing us to switch displayed language on the fly.
When generating a report in, say, Korean, the displayed report displays correctly. Similarly, the report appears correctly when printed from the on-screen control.
However, when exported to PDF, all Hangul characters appear as an empty box - the 'I don't have a mapping for this character' character.
Export to XLS, DOC, and RTF work.

What font are you using to display the text. It needs to have all the unicode codepoints.
Try using Arial Unicode MS. Normally unicode font files are a LOT bigger than non unicode ones. There are not many to choose from.
