Browse All TopicsI have Crystal report that uses cross-tab. It runs fine when I preview it within Crystal reports, but when I view it with web viewer I get error:
Exception in formula '{@displayString}' at '9999999': A string is required here.
I get this error only when I have numeric values in cross-tab report.

Right - as a I mentioned in second post.
If you are using a field directly from your database inside the cross tab, you should create a formula using what I described above and use it in the cross tab instead. This way you can force the sub report to always see the value as a string instead of a number.
Something else that might help you - Export the Report Definition (it opens as a text file and contains all information about the report) and search for @displaystring to make sure it isn't an old reference in the report.
