Browse All TopicsI have a field in the database that stores a path to a word file. In my Crystal report, I would like to somehow use that path to embed the word file. So in the end result, the Crystal report would display the contents of the word file. I am using Crystal Reports XI - is this possible? If possible, any examples on how to do it? I know I can embed a word file using "INSERT" but then I define where the file is - how do I do the INSERT but programmatically take the path I have stored in the database and use that as the file path?
If the above is not possible, my alternative solution would be to read that path from the database field and show it as a hyperlink in the crystal report. So in the end, users opening the report can click on the link and open the word file. - is this even possible?
Any formulas, or code for examples is much appreciated.

It can't be done. The new dynamic file path is only for images.
