I have Crystal Reports 2008, I am not going through any kind of front end or anything. I have a SQLExpress DB which I have a report in CR08 accessing. I have set up two parameter fields in CR08. When I edit each of these parms they show as Editable and Dynamic. In CR08 the rpt runs fine, I am able to edit the parameters and pull in records I want.
However if I open the report in Crystal Reports Viewer 2008 I cannot edit the parameters, the report displays with the last run I did in CR08. It shows me the values of the parameters but the Change button is not active. I looked at Help in CRViewer and it told me that in order to change the parms the report must have Interactive Parameters and the viewer must have sufficient rights. I presume that the rights are OK because I'm working with the report in My Documents and I created the report.
But what's this whole "Interactive Parameters" thing and isn't that what I did when I set each parameter to be dynamic & editable?

The default location for the install put it here: C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Crystal Reports Viewer 2008\CrystalReportsViewer.
It appears to be what you say. I searched for a Crystal Reports Viewer and this was from the company so I installed it. If you can't change parameters for the report, why did they have a change button in it? Strange. Anyway, thanks for the heads up.
You can if you are using Business Views as the data source.
If you need a viewer, I would sugest looking at this list. In particular the DataLoink viewer

What CR2008 viewer are you referring to? That is a front end.
If it is the one that is provided by Crystal then you are getting the expected result. The CR2008 viewer from Crysatl cannot be refreshed unless you are using business views and other Crystal/BO/SAP products. It is not intended to be a client tool except to show the last run of the report based on the saved data.
