Thought I was over thinking it.

Browse All TopicsI have an existing Crystal Report that I need to make a Formula Field more specific. The field GrossAmount is currently calculated as:
{vwOrderDetailSimple.Price
I need to make vwOrderDetailSimple.Price more specific using a case statement that I developed in SQL:
(select
case when vwproducts.ProductKitTypeI
sum(vwOrderDetailSimple.pr
Else vwOrderDetailSimple.price
END
)
So I created a SQL Expression Field called Calc_Price and intend to replace in GrossAmount the field {vwOrderDetailSimple.Price
Calc_Price*{vwOrderDetailS
or something along that lines.
However Crystal keeps telling me that vwproducts.ProductKitTypeI
Is there better way to do this?

I'm not sure why you're using a SQL expression.
D = 2 and vwproducts.UseAssemblyInve ntory = 'True' then ice * vwproductparts.PctOfRev)
ilSimple.Q uantityShi pped}+{vwO rders.Ship Charge}
You should be able to handle this using 2 simple (or 1 more complex formulae) in crystal.
e.g.
Make one formula called Calc_Price of:
if vwproducts.ProductKitTypeI
sum(vwOrderDetailSimple.pr
Else vwOrderDetailSimple.price
then in the 2nd formula:
{@Calc_Price}*{vwOrderDeta
