With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not?   • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Seagate Crystal Reports v8.0 & Vista/XP

Hello Experts,
I hv a weired problem. I developp on my Vista Home Premium PC Seagate Crystal Reports v8.0 reports and use the add-in Distribution Expert to turn my reports into .exe for my users to work with. The .exe produced run fine on my Vista machine. when I try to run these reports on the user's XP machine nothing happens (the report doesn't run and no error I verified that the database location is set as same as report and still does not work).

I tried to run the Distribution expert to package a setup so I can intall it on the user's machine to intall required dll's there. When I run Setup on XP it starts with Initialisation phase and freezes there. The package does not install. I hv to ALT/CTRL/DEL end task to stop it.

Any idea ? much appreciated
