Reporting Services - export format to Excel

using reporting services, i have no problem exporting reports to PDF format
however, when i export reports to Excel format, i see 'rubbish/not my stuff' in MS Excel.
how can i solve this ?

ops, sorry bout that..
wat i was trying to mean is when i open the files i exported as excel format, it doesn't show wat i want..not my data...

You're going to have to be more specific about what the issue is - types of controls in the reports, SQLRS version etc

using sqlrs....juz a normal report
u enter a name as a condition in order to pick up the report belongs to the name entered
den report will be shown upon clicking on view report...
however if i export report to format excel...when i open up excel, i cant c my records/details...
clear enough ?

ermm..i've tried out few reports and all didn't work out..
same problem..
im using winxp sp2 with office 2k....has that gotta do with this prob ?
do i have to upgrade to office xp ? but guess that has ntg much to do with that prob..
help ?

I just read a post in another forum that sounded very similiar to your issue.  They could export a report to Excel if Office 2003 was installed, but not Office 2000.  According to the post, reinstalling reporting services SP1 fixed the issue.  Do you have SP1 installed?

You definitely should apply at least SP1 for Reporting Services.  There are a lot of fixes included in it.  SP2 is also out and it includes among it's fixes some cool printing features that weren't available previously.
