handle exception by redirecting user in Reporting services

I am working in Reporting Services SSRS 2005. I disable reporting services everynight so that the ETL load process take place, and if it fails; RS will not become active thus a user will not get the subscribed report.

My first question would be; is this the best way of doing this? Another question would be how do i direct the user to a different Message page when RS is disabled? A page which says "We will be back as soon as the problem gets resolved". I want to do the same with error pages e.g. rsProceesingerror, rendering errors etc...
